We'd like to be able to claim that we're the only tour on the road addressing public service, Native American, and environmental issues. But we'd be lying if we said so. (First green certified motor coach, however -- not a lie).
Two weeks into the tour, we've got empathy for all the other folks out there doing the same kind of thing we're doing. So here's a shout out to those other bus tour crews!
- The Big Green Bus -- Dartmouth students spreading the good word using veggie biodiesel in a tricked-out school bus.
- Crossing the country in a bike is way more impressive than doing it with a motor. Ride for Climate = hardcore + inspiring.
- Soon to be launching - Sustainable Table's Eat Well Guided Tour of America. Sustainable food -- and what appears to be a whole lotta pie :)
- The BioTour -- Exploring sustainable energy and American culture
- YERT -- your environmental road trip -- just launched eco-expedition

It's really nice to know that other people care about the environment too and are going to great lengths to show it and be a role model to others, isn't it? Thanks for sharing these links. I already checked out the "The Big Green Bus", and up until now, I didn't even know that a bus could run on waste vegetable oil. This is a great example of what the youth can do today to make ripples of change in our society, help our country, and ultimately, make their mark on the world. Makes me wish I was riding in that big green bus myself.
Woohoo! YERT is delighted to get a shout out from the Udall Tour, and we happily shout right back to ya. Any absolute favorite destinations so far? We're all ears. And some teeth, too. But we don't bite.
Happy Travels,
Mark (and Ben and Julie)
